Registration for new students, or students entering public school Kindergarten in 2017, will take place at Centennial Lane Elementary School from Monday, February 27th through Friday, March 3rd from 9:00am until 2:00pm each day.  We will be opened, Tuesday, February 28th until 5:30pm.  We will take the last registration at 5:00pm.

 

Kindergarten is mandatory in Maryland.  State law requires children entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2017 must be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2017.  Children entering First Grade in the fall of 2017 must be 6 years old on or before September 1, 2017. Parents or guardians are to register students at the school currently serving the address where the child's parent or guardian resides.  Parents may check the School and Bus Locator link on the school system web site, http://www.hcpss.org

The parent or guardian must  present the following information at the time of registration:
.  The child's evidence of birth (For example- Birth certificate, Birth Registration)
.  An authorized record of immunizations
.  Proof of residency in the form of a lease, a deed and a current utility bill
.  Photo ID of the parent/guardian
.  Proof of custody if applicable

Driver's licenses and voter registration cards will not be accepted as proof of residence. Immunization and health forms are available at Centennial Lane Elementary School. 

Families who require interpreter services can contact the Office of International Student Services at 410-313-1525 or 410-313-7102 for registration assistance. 

 

SAVE the DATE:  Our Kindergarten Sneak Peek will be May 31st or June 1st at 2pm.  This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the Kindergarten teachers, hear an overview of the Kindergarten program and for the children to have a 'sneak peek' of the kindergarten classrooms.
