New Quick and Easy Way for Parents to Send in Absence Notes to CLES

While you can continue to send in a paper note excuse to your child’s teacher when your child is absent, we are launching a new email address to receive and archive absence excuse notes. 

 

Email CLESabsence@hcpss.org

  • Include your child(ren)’s FIRST and LAST name in the subject line.

  • Include the date(s) your child(ren) was absent.

  • Include the reason for absence.

  • Include the name of the homeroom teacher.

  • Include doctor’s notes or other documentation as attachments if needed.

  • OPTIONAL- Copy your child’s teacher and the health office (kathleen_will@hcpss.org and siobhanzarek@hcpss.org) if you there is a health issue you would like the teacher and health office to be aware of as a result of the absence.

We hope that CLESabsence@hcpss.org is an easier way for parents to provide documentation for student absences.

NOTE: Do not use this email to notify the school of dismissal changes or early dismissals. This email address is for full day absences only.
